Citing privacy concerns and the difficulty involved in deleting aFacebook account, Anonymoushopes to "kill Facebook," the "medium of communication [we] all so dearly adore."

This isn't the first time Anonymoushas spoken out against social networks.

After Google removed Anonymous'Gmail and Google+ accounts, Anonymous pledged to create its own social network, called AnonPlus.

Johnson calls for ending prohibition to curb border violence

Johnson calls for ending prohibition to curb border violence

August 9, 2011, Santa Fe, NM – Calling “U.S. Legalizes Marijuana” the potential headline Mexican drug cartels fear the most, former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson maintains that growing violence along the U.S. – Mexico border is largely a “prohibition” problem, and that ending marijuana prohibition would “hit the cartels where it hurts.”

In a column published in the Washington Times, Johnson says that bigger fences, troops on the border and other enforcement measures are obviously not deterring border violence, but are actually escalating that violence. Legalizing marijuana in the United States, however, would deny Mexican cartels their “largest profit center and dramatically reduce not only the role of the United States in their business plans, but also the motivation for waging war along our southern border.”

In his column, Johnson said, “Make no mistake. There is a war going on along our border. An estimated 28,000 people have lost their lives to border violence over the past six years, and there is no end in sight. It is, without question, a more serious threat to U.S. interests than anything we are facing in Iraq, Afghanistan or Libya.

“Having lived most of my life in New Mexico, done business there for decades and served two terms as governor, I will say with great confidence that just about everything we are doing to deal with ‘border issues’ is wrong.

Jackie Onassis believed that Lyndon B Johnson and a cabal of Texas tycoons were involved in the assassination of her husband John F Kennedy, ‘explosive’ recordings are set to reveal.

The secret tapes will show that the former first lady felt that her husband’s successor was at the heart of the plot to murder him.

She became convinced that the then vice president, along with businessmen in the South, had orchestrated the Dallas shooting, with gunman Lee Harvey Oswald – long claimed to have been a lone assassin – merely part of a much larger conspiracy.

Texas-born Mr Johnson, who served as the state’s governor and senator, completed Mr Kennedy’s term and went on to be elected president in his own right.

The tapes were recorded with leading historian Arthur Schlesinger Jnr within months of the assassination on November 22, 1963, and had been sealed in a vault at the Kennedy Library in Boston.

215 arrested in London riots

2011-08-09 11:38:42

BEIJING, Aug. 9 (Xinhuanet) -- Violence has continued in London for a third day, as rioters clashed with police in the eastern neighborhood of Hackney. It followed a weekend of unrest in various locations across the city in which more than 200 people were arrested.

Shop windows have been smashed, polices vans attacked, and cars set ablaze in Hackney.

Police have also come under fire from projectiles including petrol bombs.

Trains are not stopping at Hackney Central Station and no buses are going to the areas of Lewisham or Peckham in the south of the city, due to the riots.

Police are trying to contain the violence after two nights of rioting and looting on the streets of London.

Britain's Home Secretary Theresa May said the violence was totally unacceptable.

She said, "Let me be absolutely clear, those responsible for this violence and looting, will be made to face the consequences of their actions. So far there have been at least 215 arrests and 27 people have been charged , but as the police take statement from witnesses, as they look at CCTV evidence, then more arrests will be made."

The stunning decline of Barack Obama 2011 edition: 10 key reasons why the Obama presidency continues to melt down – Telegraph Blogs

The stunning decline of Barack Obama 2011 edition: 10 key reasons why the Obama presidency continues to melt down – Telegraph Blogs

President Obama: has lost control (Photo: Reuters)

In August last year I published a list of ten key reasons why the Obama presidency was in serious decline. This is a sequel to that post, which was one of the most read pieces on The Telegraph website in 2010. Twelve months on, the outlook continues to look exceedingly bleak for President Obama, with no sign of a recovery.

July was the worst month for the Obama presidency since the November mid-terms which saw his party emphatically drubbed in Congressional elections across the country. The president hit an all-time low with a Gallup poll at the end of the month giving him just 40 percent approval, with his rating among independents plummeting to just 34 percent. The outlook became even worse at the start of August, with dramatic falls in the stock market, and the historic decision by credit rating agency Standard and Poor’s to downgrade America’s debt.

As the latest RealClear Politics average of polls shows, less than a quarter of Americans believe the country is moving in the “right direction,” a damning indictment of the first 30 months of the Obama presidency. According to Rasmussen, that figure is as low as 14 percent, the lowest level of public confidence since November 2008.

I’ve outlined below ten key reasons why the Obama presidency continues to flounder, after a very short-lived bounce in the spring.

The Transporation Security Administration has received a lot of negative attention lately surrounding security procedures, including full body scans and pat downs.

Now a state representative is speaking out strongly against those measures here in Arizona, but she came a long way to a make a point.

A coffee shop in Tempe hosted an event ot talk about TSA procedures on Saturday. It's a topic that has people fired up, especially after the now infamous breast grabbing incident from a Colorado woman at Sky Harbor airport.

"To be considered a terrorist is really an insult and it's really humiliating..it's a humiliation..it was a horrifying thing," said Alaska State Rep. Sharon Cissna.

Cissna has gone so far as to travel free from the TSA's grasp. All the way from the frosty north country to Texas to highlight her own uncomfortable experience at a Seattle airport.

She's stopping along the way in small settings, but she's received a big response.

"This is a silent problem and the only way I'm going to find out what's really going on is really to be able to talk one on one with people throughout the country," said Cissna.

The TSA's response to the outrage?
