Sen. Paul Statement on Misplaced Blame for U.S. Downgrade Rand Paul | United States Senator

Sen. Paul Statement on Misplaced Blame for U.S. Downgrade Rand Paul | United States Senator

Aug 8, 2011

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Sen. Rand Paul today issued a statement regarding the current mud-slinging and finger-pointing toward the Tea Party for the U.S. credit downgrade.

"Blaming the Tea Party for America's debt crisis and downgrade is like blaming the fireman for fires.

"The Tea Party has been fighting for a serious solution that would rescue our finances through immediate spending cuts, spending caps and most importantly, a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution. With the support of the Tea Party, I offered the only solution that could have prevented our downgrade with our Cut, Cap and Balance plan.

"While Democrats would like to lay blame on the Tea Party for the current economic failure, it is their President who has failed in leadership, failed to lower unemployment, failed to rescue our economy, failed to prevent a downgrade of our debt, and failed to control spending."

Barack Obama Feasts While Rome Burns. Do America’s Ruling Liberal Elites Think They are the New Emperors? - David Icke Website

'For America’s ruling liberal elites there is clearly no age of austerity, but there is undoubtedly an air of impunity with a rather vulgar let them eat cake mentality. I very much doubt the British prime minister would even dream of holding this kind of ostentatious bash on his upcoming 45th birthday while at the same time telling the British people they must be prepared to make historic sacrifices to restore the economy. And undoubtedly there will be significant costs to the American taxpayer with the intense security involved in these large-scale presidential events.'

Kelly Thomas, the 37-year-old man who was beaten and tased to death by six Fullerton police officers

As pressure against the Fullerton Police Department mounts over the beating death of a mentally ill homeless man, the hacker group Anonymous has vowed to launch a cyber war against the department and any other agency associated with it unless certain demands are met.
“Operation Fullerton” will begin today at “High Noon Pacific Time (3 p.m. EST),” which is when Anonymous will begin hacking the police department’s website, according to a statement posted on Paste Bin just before midnight Friday.
The group demands the prosecution of all six officers involved, the resignation of its chief and a $5 million payout to the family of Kelly Thomas, the 37-year-old man was beaten and tased to death on July 5.
While meeting those demands might take some time, there is no question that releasing the surveillance video that captured the beating can and should be done immediately.
The Orange County District Attorney’s office said it is not releasing the video because it does not want it to taint witness testimony.
